Two 5 gallon buckets will be set, on opposing 55 gallon barrels, closest to outside edge of the barrel, filled no more than half full with sand. The flag is to be placed on the outer side of the bucket and be protruding no less than 5″ above rim of bucket.
Contestant may run course in either direction, left to right or right to left (please let the field help know which side while entering arena). In either case, the bucket on the first barrel they come to shall have a flag in it, the bucket on the last barrel shall not have a flag in it.
As the rider passes the first barrel, they retrieve the flag from the first bucket, continuing on by the second barrel and around to the last barrel, placing the flag in the second bucket and then races back across the timer eye.
