Your annual tax return allows a deduction for the sales tax paid on big-ticket items like this one. Oh! And the IRS allows you to deduct the sales tax paid when you lease a car, too (though it's not technically owned by you).

Those of you who didn't pay your sales tax, well, you'll have to report & pay a Use Tax on your return. Sometimes, though, the sales tax figure is built into the price of the car - just clarify with the seller & note it on your invoice.
