Arizona Electric Power Cooperative (AEPCO) operates a robust transmission network, extending 852 miles from the Apache Generating Station in Cochise, Arizona. This network includes 37 substations and utilizes 30 telecommunications towers alongside an extensive fiber network to ensure effective communication and power distribution. AEPCO serves six Class A member distribution cooperatives across Southern Arizona, Western New Mexico, Northwestern Arizona, and Southern California, reaching over 420,000 consumer members. The cooperative is actively engaged in enhancing electric reliability through strategic partnerships with other transmission utilities and distribution cooperatives. It is currently involved in several key projects such as the Saguaro-Marana and Schieffelin-Tombstone Junction-Boothill transmission lines to meet growing demands and improve system reliability.
